Thermal Imaging

Thermal Imaging has proven to be absolutely invaluable in the detection of damp and/or cold behind walls and ceilings and it is totally “non-destructive”!

After the external fabric inspections have been completed and all the potential defects that have allowed water or may allow water to penetrate the building fabric have been identified and super-imposed on drawings (see drone photography drawings), we turn our attention to the inner fabric. To minimize any damage to the historic inner fabric, such as decorative cornice, plaster, decoration, tiles, floorboards etc., we map out the damp using Thermal Imagery to help us pin-point the exact locations as to where the damp may be affecting the hidden structural Timbers.  This may be in elements such as lintels, floor joists, window frames etc., that may be subject to decay. Once this is achieved, it allows us to target the precise location to insert the Fibre-Optics.

“We write to thank you for the professional way in which you undertook the recent works for us. The care and attention which you demonstrated towards us and our home helped to make what could have been a truly nightmare experience a whole lot better.”
